Celebrating World Environment Day 2025 at Ahalia School of Optometry and Research Centre

In a vibrant celebration of world environment day 2025, Ahalia School of Optometry and Research Centre (ASORC) organized a series of engaging competitions and activities. The event was marked by a symbolic tree plantation ceremony, where our esteemed Vice Principal, Ms. Preetha Balaji, along with  students, faculty members and other non-teaching staffs planted saplings in the ASORC garden, emphasizing the importance of greenery and sustainability.

The program also featured a quiz competition, expertly coordinated by MSc. Optometry 2nd year students, Sultana and Ms. Nithya. The intellectual endeavor tested the knowledge and awareness of participants on environmental issues. In addition to the quiz, a poster-making competition was conducted, allowing students to express their creativity and convey powerful message through the art. Winners of both competitions were awarded with certificates.

To further reinforce the importance of a green environment, indoor plants were also planted within the college premises. This not only beautified the campus but also contributed to a healthier indoor ecosystem. And as a part of World environment day celebration, Indian Railway organized a walkathon on 04 June 2025 at the divisional Railway Office Palakkad, were students of ASORC participated.
