OPTOMETRY DAY AWARENESS RALLY
As part of World Optometry Day, Ahalia School of Optometry and Research Centre conducted an awareness rally in Palakkad to highlight the importance of eye care and vision health. The rally commenced from the Palakkad Stadium stand and concluded at Palakkad Fort, with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members.
The rally aimed to spread awareness about the need for regular eye check-ups, early detection of vision problems, and preventive eye care practices. Participants carried placards and raised slogans to engage the public and convey key messages on maintaining good eye health.
At both the starting point and the final destination, creative activities were organized to attract public attention. A flash mob performance was staged, delivering awareness messages through energetic and coordinated movements. Additionally, a mime performance effectively depicted the consequences of neglecting eye care and the importance of timely intervention.
The event successfully combined awareness with creativity, making a strong impact on the public. Overall, the initiative by Ahalia School of Optometry and Research Centre was a meaningful effort to educate the community and promote the significance of vision care on the occasion of World Optometry Day.
