Ahalia’s Continuing Medical Education (ACME – 6)

Ahalia Continuing Medical Education (ACME 6) “Revealing the Challenges and Innovations in Optometry” was successfully conducted on February 7th at the Ahalia Campus, witnessing an impressive participation of 930 registered students and professionals from various colleges. The event served as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and professional development in the field of Optometry.

The program commenced with registration at 8:00 AM, followed by the inauguration at 9:00 AM. The scientific sessions covered a wide spectrum of contemporary topics in optometry and vision science.

Key highlights of the program included insightful sessions on challenges in optometry, low vision assessment, orthoptic workup techniques, effective myopia management, myopia control strategies, innovations in vision therapy, multifocal contact lenses, corneal topography interpretation, functional lenses, scleral lenses, and glaucoma care.

Renowned speakers including Ms. Jasmine P Charan, Dr. Ananth Sailoganathan, Mr. Veeramani S, Ms. Saranya Sachi Balasubramaniam, Dr. Abhijith SN, Mr. Tharun Bose (HOYA Vision Care), Ms. Jayashree Sekar (Bausch + Lomb), and Dr. Mahesh Bharathi delivered expert talks, providing valuable academic and clinical insights.

The sessions were highly interactive, concluding with a Q&A session and valedictory function.
