A Talk on Psychology Counseling for Students of ASORC

Ahalia school of optometry and research centre conducted a small seminar on psychological counseling for students on 24- June 2022 at Ahalia Eye Hospital Auditorium at 9.00am. Ms. Vini Bose (Team leader, counseling psychologist) student counselor of ASORC presided over the session. Ms. Rincy (Counseling Psychologist) talked about importance of psychological counseling and interacted with students. All are aware that students’ mental health can affect both their learning and their success. A crucial component of education is promoting students’ mental health and wellbeing are given training to help them reach their full potential. She spoke about different attitudes of students towards counseling and the advantages of having a therapy from her experience. Ms Lavanya Madabhushi (Associate Professor, ASORC), Ms Lathika S (Assistant Professor, ASORC), Mr.Jithin Johny (PG 2nd year student) Ms.Keerthana (UG 3rd year student) also talked about their experience in counseling.
