Anti-ragging: A Safe Respectful Campus
On September 7, 2024, Ahalia School of Optometry And Research Centre hosted a thought-provoking pencil drawing and essay competition centred on the theme Anti-ragging: A safe and respectful Campus. This initiative aimed to engage students in creative and reflective activities to foster a deeper understanding of the importance of maintaining a safe, respectful environment in educational institutions.
Students from various classes participated using their artistic skills to visually interpret the theme of anti-ragging and showed their deep-seated commitment in promoting a harassment free environment, participants submitted essay that explored various facets of ragging, including its psychological impacts, preventative measures and the role of the academic community in fostering a culture of respect after which prizes were distributed to the winners.
