Eye care for Elders
Ahalia School of Optometry and research centre Palakkad in association with Zeiss Aloka and Optometry Council of India conducted eye screening camp on 19th and 20th of May 2023 at Daivadan Centre (Old Age Home), Mangalam Palam , Vadakkancherry, Palakkad. With 5 Senior Optometrists and 8 junior optometrists assessed visual acuity, refractive error, intraocular pressure, and retinal structures. Out of 97 people 58 are prescribed spectacles. Cataract diagnosed patients are referred for cataract surgery at Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital, Palakkad. Spectacles will be free and expected to deliver with in 2 weeks.
