Graduation Day
Ahalia school of optometry and research centre witnessed graduation day on august 5th 2022. Graduation Day is much than simply a routine ceremony at ASORC. It is a day of celebration when we acknowledge the dedication of our students and teachers, whose efforts have enabled our students to become successful optometry graduates. The event was presided over by the Chief Guest Dr. Kuldeep Raizada, CEO -Akriti Ophthalmic Pvt Ltd, who graciously accepted our request to be present amongst our student community even amidst his busy schedule. The procession of the dignitaries began at around 10.40 AM.
Our Chief Guest Dr. Kuldeep Raizada, along with Managing Trustee, Ahalia International Foundation Mrs Sriya Gopal, Executive Director Ahalia Dr Krishna Kumar, Managing Director of AFEH Retina department Dr Rajkumar Maheshwari and Head of Department Dr Kalikivayi Venkataramana were welcomed to the dais by our hosts of the event Ms. Lathika S and Ms. Bashriya.The celebration began with an invocation song by our 3rd year students from Optometry department seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha.Our HoD Dr Venkataraman delivered welcome address and asked the chief Guest to announce opening of ceremony.
In his speech on graduation day, Dr. Kuldeep Raizada, the chief guest, emphasised the value of being a good citizen and the distinction between learning and unlearning. He thanked all of the graduates and encouraged them to apply the knowledge they had learned over the course of their four years of optometry education to improve both themselves and society. Following the Graduation Day address, HoD of ASORC furnished the Graduate details and declared the autonomous Batches of 2015,2016,2017, 2019PG, 2020PG as Graduates. After this, was the Certificate distribution to all the Rank holders and Graduates of 2015,2016,2017 and PG 2019, 2020 batch. Graduates received their degrees and a memento, in remembrance of all the good times at ASORC.
The valedictory speech was delivered by the graduate representatives Ms Jishna Balu (UG) and Ms Anu Ranjan (PG).felicitation address was done by Executive Director Ahalia Dr Kishore kumar. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms Lavanya Kalikivayi, where she thanked our Chief Guest for his presence, our Management for providing the opportunity to host one of the supreme events of our Institution, our Graduates, Coordinators of the event and all those who were involved in making this event a successful one.
