8th GRADUATION DAY -2023
The 8th Graduation Day of undergraduate 2018 batch and post graduate 2020 batch was held on December 6th 2023, at Ahalia School of Optometry and Research Centre in the ADH auditorium at 03.00 pm. Around 40 Graduates with their parents attended the ceremony to celebrate their success on achieving their degree in Optometry.
The Honourable Chief Guest of the programme was Dr. Annamalai, Hon.Chancellor, Gandhigram Rural Institute University, and Interim Commission Member for Physiotherapy in National Commission for Allied and Health Care Professions and Consultant Physiotherapist – Appollo Hospitals, Ahamedabad. The other prominent dignitaries on the Dias were: Mrs. Sriya Gopal (Managing Trustee, Ahalia International Foundation), Dr. Sajeev Cherian Jacob, Principal of Ahalia School of Optometry and Research Centre. Dr. Venkataramana Kalikivayi Head of the Department of Ahalia School of Optometry and Research Centre and all other department HOD’S. The program has started with an Invocation song followed by Lighting of lamp by the dignitaries. Principal welcomed all the dignitaries, invitees, parents, faculty and graduands. The Chief Guest Dr. Annamalai declared the graduation day open and in his presidential address he congratulated the graduands and post graduands.
Then there was the distribution ceremony of Certificates and Medals firstly to all the Graduates and Post Graduates, which was followed by special awards. The Vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Lavanya Kalikkivayi, Associate Professor, ASORC. End of Graduation days was declared by the Honourable Chief Guest Dr. Annamalai, followed by the National Anthem and photo session.
